Performance measurement is important for every SAI, and taking its results into account in strategic planning contributes to the proper development of institutional capacity. That is why SAIs are constantly improving their knowledge and approaches to performance measurement.
On the specifics of the Supreme Audit Institutions Performance Measurement Framework (SAI PMF), the concept and purpose of its implementation, methodology, the structure of the reports on the results of such assessment and quality management were discussed during the seminar on in-depth study of SAI PMF. The event, supported by the INTOSAI Development Initiative (IDI), was held in early June in Istanbul (Turkey).
Representatives of 15 SAIs participated in the seminar, including Yulia Myronenko and Olena Poboleva from the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
In addition to theoretical knowledge, the participants had the opportunity to acquire practical skills in conducting performance evaluation of SAIs and share their experience with colleagues. In particular, the auditors analyzed the SAI PMF domain structure, indicators and performance evaluation criteria. A number of practical tasks were performed to identify the reasons for the lack of efficiency of the SAI and participated in the preparation of evaluation reports.
The knowledge gained during the training is important for the future performance measurement of the activities of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine.
