The Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic provided the Accounting Chamber with 80 laptops and mobile power supplies for them. The decision to transfer the equipment was approved by the Government of the Czech Republic on October 16, 2024, in accordance with the donation agreement concluded earlier between the SAI of Ukraine and the Czech Republic. Agreements on such support were reached during the visit of the Czech SAI delegation to the Accounting Chamber in June 2024.
Recently, a batch of technical equipment has been delivered to the territorial office of the institution in Lviv, Volyn, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Ternopil regions (in Lviv) for handing over, and thereafter the equipment will be distributed to the territorial offices and structural units of the Accounting Chamber that need it.
The donated laptops are equipped with docking stations and power supplies for them, as well as mobile power supplies.
The Chairwoman of the Accounting Chamber Olha Pishchanska expressed her gratitude to the Head of the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic Miloslav Kali for the support:
"The 80 laptops we received from you will become an important tool for our specialists, helping them to perform their duties more quickly and efficiently. This is especially important for on-site inspections, which have become more important after the adoption of important amendments to the legislation on the Accounting Chamber. Our institutions have a long history of friendly relations and mutual support. The Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic was one of the first to lend a helping hand at the beginning of the large-scale invasion. I am extremely grateful that you continue to stand by our side in this difficult time," Olga Pishchanska said.
It should be reminded that the Supreme Audit Office of the Czech Republic has been supporting the Accounting Chamber since the first days of the full-scale war, in particular, it provided temporary shelter to employees fleeing the war in the Czech Republic.
In March 2022, the EUROSAI Governing Board, which was chaired by Miloslav Kala at that time, decided to suspend cooperation with russia and belarus. The President of the Czech SAI presented a photocopy of this decision to the Accounting Chamber during his visit to Kyiv.
