The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine took third place in the first “EUROSAI Award for Exceptional Auditing,” meant to recognize best auditing practices as well as significant capacity-building efforts among the Supreme Audit Institutions that are members of EUROSAI.

A total of 14 submissions were reviewed as part of the competition, and the jury’s decision was based on a comprehensive evaluation of the applications according to criteria of innovation, impact, relevance, and alignment with EUROSAI’s strategic objectives.

The Accounting Chamber of Ukraine was recognized for its “Compliance Audit of the Use of State Budget Funds and Asset Management by the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA),” which addresses the effectiveness of a key anti-corruption policy instrument – the system for managing seized assets.

The audit results are aimed at enhancing transparency and accountability in the area of asset management related to proceeds of corruption, as well as improving the efficiency of public resource utilization. In the context of Ukraine’s systematic fight against corruption and the implementation of European governance standards, such audits play an important role in strengthening the trust of the public and international partners in state institutions.

The official award ceremony will take place during the EUROSAI Governing Board meeting in Rome in May 2026.

Receiving this award is a testament to the high level of professionalism of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine and its institutional capacity to conduct audits that have a significant impact on the formation of public policy. It also confirms the important role of the Accounting Chamber of Ukraine as an independent external public financial control body in ensuring the integrity, transparency, and efficiency of public finance management in Ukraine.

International recognition of the Accounting Chamber’s audit results strengthens Ukraine’s position within the European community of Supreme Audit Institutions and demonstrates the state’s ability to implement modern anti-corruption tools in accordance with the best international standards.

For reference. The EUROSAI Award for Exceptional Auditing was established in 2025 as a means of recognizing innovative approaches to auditing and promoting the professional development of supreme audit institutions. The award is based on a comprehensive evaluation system that covers both the quality of audit approaches and the actual impact of audit results on public policy and management practices.
